The Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources, Mr. Godfrey Oliphant (MP) and the Minister of Labour Ms. Mildred Oliphant (MP) will on Tuesday, 26 September 2017 host an exmineworkers Imbizo in Pongola, Zululand.

The imbizo will address ex-mineworkers on issues pertaining to the lack of information on compensation benefits, medical benefits examination, provident funds, Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) and launch the Health Medical Clinic for ex-mineworkers.

The imbizo will be attended by the following government departments: Mineral Resources, Health, Labour, Social Development (SASSA), Home Affairs and other relevant stakeholders such as the Chamber of Mines, Rand Mutual Association (RMA), and ABSA bank.
