Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources, Godfrey Oliphant (MP) will on Saturday, 09 September 2017 address Adult Education and Training (AET) learners at the International Literacy Day at Petra Diamonds Finsch Mine in Northern Cape. The mine will celebrate the achievements and importance of AET in the sector.
The objective of the event is to encourage new entrants, learners who are currently in AET programmes and those who have successfully completed their AET training to continue their education. The theme for this year’s event is “Education for career progression and liberation”. NUM President comrade Piet Matosa and MQA Acting CEO Mr. Tebogo Mmotla will also address the learners.
