DEPUTY MINISTER OF ELECTRICTY AND ENERGY TO DELIVER THE KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT THE YOUTH CAREER EXPO IN BUFFALO CITY

The Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy, Ms. Samantha Graham Maré, will tomorrow (Friday), 17 October 2025 deliver the opening address at the Youth Career Expo, where she is expected to urge the youth of Buffalo City Metro in the Eastern Cape to take up opportunities in the energy sector by pursuing energy-related careers.

The Deputy Minister Graham-Maré will be joined by Buffalo City Metro, MMC for Infrastructure, Councillor Yomelela Tyali.

The Deputy Minister will officiate and open the Department’s Career Expo to create awareness about future projects and programmes of the Department, while also advising them of the different energy related careers that the youth should be taking up to be part of the exciting energy sector.

The youth of the country are not only the largest demographic group in the country, but they are also the most critical agent for change. Empowering our young people about the energy sector and its array of career fields will go a long way to ensure a sustainable pipeline of their entry into the industry.

The Career Expo will be held as follows:
