Mineral Resources Minister, Mr Gwede Mantashe will on Friday, 2 November 2018, officially open the Khanye Coal Mine in Bronkhorstspruit. With potential of contributing positively on employment, Khanye Coal Mine, a Canyon Coal operation, has estimated extractable reserves of about 39 million tones, translating to an operating lifespan of approximately 15 years.
