The Minister of Mineral Resources, Mr Gwede Mantashe will on Friday, 22 March 2019 visit the Chilwavhusiku Colliery in Bronkhorspruit, Gauteng. The visit by the Minister and officials of the Department aims to assess the progress of the 100% black-owned Black Royalty Minerals since it commenced operating a year ago. Following the visit to the mine, the Minister will proceed to deliver a keynote address at the launch of the mine’s Mining Academic Programme (MAP), which looks at providing extra lessons to Grade 12 learners from 9 High Schools in Bronkhorspruit. Members of the media are invited to join the Minister at the mine and the academic programme launch.
