The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy will tomorrow, 17 September 2019, honour the late Deputy Minister, Bavelile Hlongwa (MP). In a gathering with all staff members in the Department, the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe will reflect on the life and times of the Deputy Minister.

Deputy Minister, Bavelile Hlongwa tragically departed on Friday, 13 September 2019, in a car accident. The Minister has since visited the Hlongwa family in KwaZulu-Natal to convey his condolences.
