MEDIA INVITATION: MINISTER GWEDE MANTASHE TO PARTICIPATE AT AFRICA DOWN UNDER (ADU) CONFERENCE, PERTH, AUSTRALIA

The Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Mr Gwede Mantashe (MP) will lead the South African delegation at the 2024 Africa Down Under Conference in Perth, Australia from 04 to 06 September 2024.

The ADU Conference serves as a valuable platform for fostering business and government relations between Australia and Africa. It brings together government and business leaders from the African continent and Australia to engage on mining and business opportunities.

The Minister is expected to deliver a keynote address during the opening day of the conference and participate in a panel discussion. Additionally, the Minister will host an investment luncheon with business leaders under the theme "Reigniting Exploration: South Africa's Strategic Interventions for a New Era of Resource Discovery".

The South African delegation is comprised of the Ministry of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, the Minerals Council South Africa (MCSA), and South Africa State-Owned Entities such as Mintek, Council for Geoscience (CGS), African Exploration Mining Finance Corporation (AEMFC), South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator (SADPMR), and the State Diamond Trader (SDT).
