The Deputy Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Ms Phumzile Mgcina (MP) will officially launch and handover the upgraded Nelsonskop Primary School in Marapong, a Social and Labour Plan (SLP) project implemented by Exxaro Coal (Pty Ltd) - (Grootegeluk mine).

The Social and Labour Plan (SLP) is implemented to enhance the quality of life in mining communities and to ensure that holders of Mining Rights and Production Rights contribute towards the socio-economic development of the areas in which they are operating as provided for in the Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA).
