DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICITY AND ENERGY RESPONDENTS’ CONFERENCE IN RESPECT OF THE INDEPENDENT TRANSMISSION PROJECTS (ITPs) REQUEST FOR PRE-QUALIFICATIONS
The Department of Electricity and Energy (DEE) released the Request for Pre-Qualifications (RFQ) for Independent Transmission Projects (ITPs) on 30 July 2025.
In support of this milestone, and to engage with potential respondents, and energy sector stakeholders, the Department of Electricity and Energy (DEE), together with the Independent Power Producers (IPP) Office, will host a virtual Respondents’ Conference on Tuesday, 26 August 2025.
The conference will provide all stakeholders with an opportunity to engage directly with the ITP team on queries and clarifications relating to the RFQ.
Key focus areas will include:
• Gain detailed guidance on the RFQ requirements, timelines, and evaluation criteria. • Understand the scope of ITP Phase 1 transmission projects identified under the Transmission Development Plan (TDP). • Engage with the ITP team and clarify submission requirements ahead of the RFQ deadline: 23 September 2025.
The Department of Electricity and Energy hereby formally invites members of the media to register for and attend the virtual Respondents’ Conference.
