The Deputy Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Ms Phumizile Mgcina (MP) will on Thursday, 02 October 2025 host Economic Opportunities and GBVF Outreach Programme in Maqongqo Community Hall, Ward 1 at Mkhambathini Local Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal.

The programme seeks to encourage Gender Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) victims to take advantage of economic empowerment opportunities available within the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR), its entities, and in the mining and petroleum sector.

The programme targets vulnerable groups namely Women, Youth (unemployed graduates and youth out of school), Persons with Disabilities, as well as Gender Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) victims.

The event will take place as follows:
